Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) crushed Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 67 runs and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) crushed Delhi Capitals (DC) by 91 runs. Here are the key highlights of both of the matches:

On Sunday, the slide continued as Royal Challengers Bangalore outclassed them in all departments, handing Hyderabad a crushing 67-run loss at the Wankhede Stadium. It was a match where Williamson lost the toss and eventually ended up on the losing side; unable to get the match-changing momentum in their favour.

In Bangalore's thumping 67-run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Wankhede Stadium, du Plessis top-scored with 73 but it was Karthik's sensational eight-ball 30, including three sixes and a four on the last four balls of the innings which propelled Bangalore to 192/3.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Wednesday defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 13 runs. RCB won after 3 back to back losses. After 2020,  it was the first time when RCB defeated CSK. In that match, 9 out of 16 wickets were taken by spinners.

"We definitely needed that, just for the confidence in the group. The guys have been doing some good things behind the scenes but you have to do it out in the middle. To put up a decent total on a wicket with a bit of challenge towards it, I think we're definitely moving in the right direction with the batting lineup and confidence the guys are getting," said du Plessis in post-match presentation ceremony.

A girl was seen proposing a man, who was wearing an RCB jersey, during the 11th over the CSK innings when cameras caught the girl getting down on her knees to offer a ring to a man next to her, who appeared to be accepted it gleefully amid thunderous applause from the crowd. They embraced the moment and hugged each other.

From being 51/0 in first five overs, Bangalore lost their top-order of Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell and Virat Kohli in the next five overs. It took a 27-ball 42 from all-rounder Mahipal Lomror apart from him sharing a useful 44-run partnership off 32 balls with Rajat Patidar to get Bangalore's innings on track. The duo produced two fours and as many sixes off Moeen Ali and Maheesh Theekshana as Bangalore got a hope to get a good score on a pitch assisting slower and pace off deliveries.

"It has been probably a bit indifferent (on his form). I feel like I have been hitting the ball well, I feel there's a big score round the corner. It has been a hard couple of games for us but we still have a great vibe around the group, if we can get a little bit of a run towards the finals (playoffs) then we can make an impact this season," said Maxwell to broadcasters Star Sports in a pre-match chat.

Kohli, former India and Royal Challengers captain who was advised by former team India coach Ravi Shastri to take a break from IPL to revitalise his batting, gave glimpses of a welcome return to form as he scored a fine half-century as he and Patidar set up a platform from which RCB could have reached a score of 180-plus but fell short due to some good death-overs bowling by Gujarat Titans.
