Sharad Pawar re-elected as NCP president

After the meeting, NCP general secretary Praful Patel said Sharad Pawar has been elected unopposed by the party's national executive. The party would hold national council meeting on Sunday during which Pawar is expected to lay out the road map for the national-level alliance of the opposition parties.

BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule spent a day in Baramati to prepare for Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's 3-day visit to Baramati from September 22. For 2nd time, no relief for NCP MLAs Deshmukh, Malik to vote

Justice N.J. Jamdar passed the orders in an interim bail plea filed by Deshmukh and a plea by Malik only seeking relief to enable him cast his vote under a police escort. Both leaders are from the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) ally Nationalist Congress Party. Deshmukh was arrested on November 2, 2021, and Malik was nabbed on February 23 this year under various cases of alleged corruption and money laundering by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
Bhagwat calls for settling mosque dispute amicably

The RSS chief said that it was the dream of Swami Vivekananda and Maharishi Arvind that it will become a reality, if all of us put a little more effort. He made this statement while inaugurating the idol of Brahmalin Mahamandaleshwar Shri 1008 Swami Divyanand Giri,  in Haridwar. Mohan Bhagwat made these remarks while seconding the statement of astrologer Swami Ravindra Puri who said that astrological predictions suggest India will realise the dream of Akhand Bharat in the next 20-25 years.
