Speaking after achieving this feat, Pardeep Narwal said, "In the beginning of my vivo PKL career, I just wanted to get selected in one of the teams. I didn't know that I would perform so well in the competition. However, I want to keep going and cross 1600 points within this season."
PKL 9: U.P. Yoddhas put on defensive masterclass to defeat Tamil Thalaivas 41-24
Raider Pardeep Narwal also chipped in with six points and with that became the first player to score to cross 1400 raid points in the history of the Pro Kabaddi League. The game kicked off with the Thalaivas taking out U.P. Yoddhas' two lead raiders, Pardeep Narwal and Surender Gill in their first two raids. Within minutes though the Yoddhas had recomposed themselves and clawed back to take the lead.
PKL 9: Bengaluru Bulls script amazing comeback to tie 31-31 with Patna Pirates
Going into the last minute of the match, the Pirates held a comfortable lead, but the Bulls inflicted an All Out and tackled Rohit Gulia to tie the match at 31-31. Sachin effected a few raids as the Patna Pirates took the lead at 6-4 in the 9th minute. Manish tackled Vikash Kandola to help the Pirates widen their lead further. The side from Patna inflicted an All Out in the 11th minute to take a massive lead at 12-5. Bharat pulled off a fantastic multi-point raid in the 14th minute, but the Pirates continued to dominate the match at 16-7.

If the Titans hoped to end their miserable run with an inspiring performance, then this may well have been the time to turn up. Except, almost right from the onset, it was the Pink Panthers who were on top. They rushed into a lead, and it took the Titans till they were down by six points to score their first point of the game.

Bharat scored a whopping 16 points in the match, while Vikash Kandola contributed with eight points. Guman Singh picked up a few raid points and helped his side take a massive lead at 6-1 in the 5th minute. Soon after, the Mumbai side inflicted an All Out and attained a stronghold of the match at 10-3.

While Atrachali excelled in defense, raider Aslam Inamdar starred in attack, scoring five points. Maninder Singh effected a few raids as the Bengal Warriors took the lead at 6-5 in the 6th minute. However, Fazel Atrachali tackled Maninder soon after and levelled the scores at 6-6.
PKL 9: Patna Pirates shock table-toppers Dabang Delhi to pick up first win of season
The Pirates won the third game of the evening 37-33 at the Shree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium on Friday. A rematch of last year's final -- with many of the same protagonists -- the game promised high-fire action and did not disappoint. With the very first raid of the evening, Dabang Delhi captain Naveen Kumar took out Chiyaneh, the Pirates' lead defender.

While Guman Singh picked up the first points for U Mumba, it was Meetu Sharma who got the Haryana Steelers off the mark. U Mumba's defensive unit didn't allow the Steelers to edge ahead as Jai Bhagwan and Co inflicted an All Out to give U Mumba a good lead as the midway stage of the first half approached.

Speaking about the aspect the Bengaluru Bulls needed to improve before their last game, the Bengaluru head coach Randhir Singh said, "I felt our defense was weak before our game against Tamil Thalaivas. So, we worked on our defensive skills in the lead up to the game. The defenders and the raiders contributed to our victory in our last game."
PKL 9: Watching kabaddi action on TV spurred Gujarat's Rakesh to excel
Speaking about how he developed an interest in kabaddi, Rakesh said, "I attained a huge interest in kabaddi after watching the second season of the Pro Kabaddi League on television. I started playing the game seriously in my village at that time."
Rakesh set the stage on fire with 140 points in his debut season in 2021-22 and is continuing to do so in Season 9 as well.
