The Paltans made an explosive start with Mohit Goyat starting off with a Super Raid. A close review by the Paltans also worked out in their favour, as they had the momentum in their corner, playing at home for the first time this season. Midway through the first half, the Paltans were in control and had a slender 1-point lead, with both sides being watchful in their approach. Cheered on by the home support, the Paltans raged on as Fazel Atrachali and co tackled emphatically, giving themselves a 3-point lead at 13-10 in the end of the first half.

The bane of the Titans' horrible run in the league has been their defence, and in the opening stages of this encounter it didn't seem like they had improved. Surender Gill and Pardeep Narwal were running riot through their ranks as they pleased, able to pick up bonus points with ease.

Speaking about how he was introduced to the sport, Manjeet said, "My father was a good kabaddi player so he introduced me to the sport. I started playing the game in my village - Rindhana (Haryana). When we saw Pardeep Narwal, who is from my village, play in the vivo Pro Kabaddi League, even we got inspired to play in the tournament. So, I practiced hard, put in the necessary performances and reached this stage."

Both Bengaluru Bulls and Jaipur Pink Panther team played out a close contest throughout the match and were locked at 30-30 in the last few minutes of the match. But Vikash pulled off a magnificent SUPER RAID to help his team defeat the Panthers. Bharat effected a fantastic raid in the 7th minute and helped his team inflict an ALL OUT to take a massive lead at 10-3.

While Naveen, Ashu and Manjeet struggled with their raiding, Delhi's defending was abject, as they failed to register a single tackle point in the entire first half. The Thaliavas made hay every time they got a chance, registering two more ALL OUTS to go into the break leading at 32-11.

Bharat notched a whopping 20 points in the exciting match. Raiders Bharat and Vikash Kandola effected fantastic raids and reduced Delhi to just one player on the mat in the eighth minute. Soon after, the Bulls inflicted an 'all out' and took the lead at 12-10.

Narender put up a superb performance with 13 points in the match and helped Thalaivas register the win. The Tamil Thalaivas got off to a stupendous start as they inflicted an All Out in the 6th minute and took a massive lead at 12-1. V. Ajith Kumar tried to fight back for the Panthers, but the Thalaivas' defender M. Abishek stood tall as his team continued to extend its lead. The team from Tamil Nadu tackled Arjun Deshwal in the 14th minute and attained a 12-point lead at 17-5.
PKL 9: Guman Singh, Heidarali Ekrami help U Mumba to a massive victory against Gujarat Giants

Eventually the raiders ensured that U Mumba walked off the mat as winners. Raiders Guman Singh and Heidarali Ekrami contributed with a total of 22 points in the match. Rakesh and Guman Singh picked up raid points for each of their teams as both sides kept trading points in the first ten minutes of the match. However, Rakesh reduced the Mumbai side to two players on the mat in the 10th minute.

A team effort from the Haryana side as Meetu starred in the raiding department, earning 13 points, while Nitin Rawal, Jaideep, and Amirhossein Bastami stole the show in the defence unit. Monu Goyat began the proceedings as he got a raid point for Telugu Titans, but K. Prapanjan levelled the scores immediately with Haryana Steelers' first raid. Minutes later, Manjeet got a touch on Vinay to give Steelers the lead.
