In his address at an international conclave organized here by the ILO, Pinarayi Vijayan said that through this conclave, they will be commemorating the century-old history of the ILO's association with India, and Kerala's contributions in upholding its objectives and principles.

Vijayan, in a Facebook post on Sunday, said that the movie was created to demonise Kerala and to communally divide the state. "From the trailer of the movie, it can be gathered that the movie has taken up the Sangh Parivar propaganda that positions an uncompromisingly secular land like Kerala as a hot bed of terrorists," he wrote.

"There is nothing new in what Modi said and he has bluffed when he said development is lacking in Kerala because in the NITI Aayog ratings Kerala is number one. He spoke like an ordinary BJP/RSS worker, which is devoid of facts. The long-promised railway coach factory (Palakkad) and an AIIMS is still not happened in Kerala," Govindan told the media here.

"As you have rightly stated, presently elected governments in many states are facing this issue. In Kerala too, certain bills passed by the State Assembly after due deliberation have been kept pending by the Governor for unduly long time, some for more than a year," said Vijayan.

The Congress and the BJP on Friday questioned the credibility of the Kerala Lokayukta, which referred the case to a larger bench. It was after an year that the two-member bench of the Lokayukta, that had completed all its hearings in the case, gave its verdict on last Friday and this long delay came under fire.

Though only an assistant private secretary, Ravindran is the last word in Vijayan's office. But the chat messages between Swapna Suresh (prime accused in the gold smuggling and Life Mission bribery cases) and Ravindran accessed by the ED have brought him into public domain. Analysis of the chat reveals that the two were extremely close.

Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan had made it very clear that he will not sit in judgment on an issue which concerns him and now in all likelihood, this 'controversial' Bill will be sent to the President as he had said its contents relates to an issue where the Centre has a role to play.

Responding to the media on being left out by Vijayan, he said the whole world is changing. "Trouble erupts when you resist change. I have no problems in not being invited. My Christmas greetings to all who are taking part in it. I sincerely wish that the New Year brings good luck to all. I also wish all the Keralites a Merry Christmas. I have no grudges against anybody for not inviting me," said Governor Khan.

CM Vijayan and Governor Khan have been locked in a battle since August ever since the latter said a firm no to the appointment of the former's private secretary's wife as a teacher in the Malayalam department of Kannur University. Since then the two have had a entered into several verbal duals also.

The Christmas celebrations invite, which is customary in the state when the Governor invites leading political personalities and prominent citizens, was for December 14 at 5 p.m. Leader of Opposition V.D.Satheesan has also decided against attending the celebrations.
