Chief Minister Vijayan has been accompanying the Prime Minister who has been attending a few programmes at Kochi since Thursday. Vijayan himself shared it on social media, which has started getting a lot of traction. It was on September 2, 1979, that Vijayan and Kamala, then a teacher at St. Joseph School, Tellicherry got married.

"Vijayan is in a crisis as no arrests have been made in the attack of their state party headquarters in June. Likewise, days ago, one Shahjahan was murdered in Palakkad and here too, he is in a quandary... to cover up all this, he directed the police to arrest the innocent Congress workers," said Satheesan.

Party members who were participating in the Thiruvananthapuram district committee meeting spoke about the need for internal discussions on the government. Achuthanandan, asserting that branding an LDF government was not acceptable according to communist ideals.

"The Chief Minister first said he doesn't know me, then he said she has come with UAE diplomats to his official residence. Let me tell you, I have gone to his official residence several times with UAE officials and also alone. I was allowed to walk into his residence and his office in the Secretariat without any security issues.

He accused the opposition BJP and the Congress-led UDF of colluding together to shield Suresh but refused to respond on several queries raised by the UDF on the floor of the house. After the Question Hour ended, the UDF sought leave for an adjournment motion to discuss the fresh revelations made by Swapna Suresh, and this was allowed to be taken up by the Chief Minister for nearly two hours.

Vijayan though trying to keep his cool intact, lost it when a journalist asked him,, "why he is not taking legal steps against defamatory statements." And pat came the reply and in a stern tone, "that I will decide". Then he said one should not forget what all allegations surfaced in this case before and the people gave them a clean sweep of 99 seats in the 2021 April assembly polls.

Incidentally a man is seen pushing them both down and now reports have come that it was the Left Democratic Front convenor E.P. Jayarajan, who was the Industries Minister in the first Vijayan cabinet. Reports now say that there were three Youth Congress workers who had booked to travel on the same flight and seeing them, local policemen stopped them for questioning and as they said they were going with a cancer patient, they were allowed to proceed.

Speaking to the media in Delhi on Wednesday for the first time after getting a third and final term in the post, Yechury asked how a green signal can be given to "a train which is yet to arrive". Yechury's tone and tenor on K-Rail contradicted his position when he was attending the Congress. At Kannur he had said Kerala needs such a project, but in Delhi he gave a different statement.

The bypoll was necessitated after Congress legislator P.T.Thomas passed away on December 22, 2021. The first sign that the by-election will not be far, came when the entire top brass of the Congress paid a sudden visit to the residence of Thomas, near here the other day and called upon the widow of Thomas.

"The meeting with the PM was excellent. He gave us a patient hearing and the response was encouraging. Overall, it was a positive feeling and we expect the Centre will give us the sanction for our K-Rail project," said Vijayan."We know that the people are with us, as our track record speaks of our development agenda for the state.
