2008 Malegaon blast case: Witness accuses Maharashtra ATS of forcing him to name 5 RSS members, UP CM Yogi Adityanath

The ATS had filed a 5 page statement of the witness, in 2009, to which the Witness told the court that he only knows that a statement is recorded in his name by ATS but in reality he never gave any such statement. The ATS statement mentioned that the witness was a trustee of the Abhinav Bharat trust, founded in 2006 along with Lt. Colonel Prasad Purohit and Ajay Rahirkar, who are among the 7 accused in the case. According to the ATS and NIA the trust was used in the conspiracy for the Malegaon blast.
Ludhiana court blast: Intelligence inputs reveal hand of Pakistan-backed Khalistani terrorists

The blast at the Ludhiana court complex that killed 1 person and injured 5 others on Thursday was carried out by Pakistan-backed Khalistani terrorists. Times of India reported quoting intelligence agencies. After the 26 January Red Fort incident, intelligence agencies were on alert in Punjab. According to the agencies, they shared inputs with the local police as well. The identity of the person who died in this incident is yet to be been ascertained.
NIA carries out raids on Jamaat activists in Kashmir

Police sources said the NIA sleuths assisted by the local police and the CRPF raided the premises of JeI activists in Budgam, Bandipora and other districts. Sources said these raids are part of the ongoing investigation being carried out by the NIA into the terror funding case. Similar raids were carried out by the agency two months back on the houses and offices of prominent JeI leaders.
NIA likely to takeover Kashmir civilian killings probe

According to sources, the investigation in these killings indicate a definite pattern leading to the terror angle, therefore, the investigation may be assigned to the national anti-terror probe agency. They also said that this issue was discussed threadbare in the National Security Strategy Conference held on Monday.
Mundra port drug seizure: NIA searches multiple locations in Delhi

Officials from the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) had recently seized a huge haul of 2,998 kg of heroin, estimated to be valued at about Rs 21,000 crore, from the Mundra port in Gujarat. The heroin was found concealed in the import consignment of 'Semi-processed talc stones' originating from Afghanistan, which had arrived from the Bandar Abbas Port, Iran.
NIA conducts raids at 16 locations in Kashmir, Delhi-NCR

NIA sources said these were related to the Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of various terror outfits, including The Resistance Front (TRF). Major crackdown is underway currently, according to the sources. Nearly 90 youths have been detained across Kashmir in the past 2-3 days. The crackdown on anti-India elements by the security forces took place just after the terror attacks on minorities last week.

Accused Nainar Abbas Ali @ Library Abbas will undergo rigorous imprisonment for seven years and simple imprisonment for another three years. He shall also be liable to pay a fine of Rs 43,000 for the offences, the release by NIA said. Sulaiman has also been awarded rigorous imprisonment for seven years and simple imprisonment for another three years and shall also be liable to pay a fine of Rs 38,000.
NIA carries out raids across Kashmir Valley, 70 detained

The raids are still going on at nine locations in Srinagar, Anantnag, Kulgam, and Baramulla as part of its probe, according to sources. Several stone pelters and anti-India elements have been detained and are being questioned, they said.
NIA carries out multiple raids involving cross LoC trade

"With the assistance of the J&K pPolice, CRPF and ITBP, the NIA conducted searches at nine locations in Poonch district at the premises of the suspected LoC traders in relation to case no. RC-17/2016/NIA/DLI, an Agency official said. The case was registered on December 9, 2016 by the NIA under Section 17 of UA(P) Act, 1967."
SC refuses to interfere with bail granted to alleged IS member

Additional Solicitor General S.V. Raju, representing NIA, submitted before a bench comprising Justices S. Abdul Nazeer and A.S. Bopanna that Majeed was a terrorist who went to Syria, and he initially went to Iraq in May, 2014 on a pilgrimage visa but left for Syria to join IS. Raju added that Majeed came back to the country to carry out blasts at police headquarters and he was also allegedly trying to recruit Indians as well as non-residents to join the terrorist organisation for carrying out activities.
