SC seeks DGHS response on pleas for taking part in mop-up round of NEET-PG counselling

Senior advocate Gopal Sankaranarayanan, representing some petitioners, submitted before a bench headed by Justice D.Y. Chandrachud that after the second round of counselling, his clients were allotted the seats and later, the DGHS issued two notices to bring into the pool some seats which were not available to them. He said that hundreds of seats were added to the pool and as a result, people not on merit, were given seats, which were not available to his clients.
HC says students forced to go to Ukraine, points out PG medical vacant seats

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday remarked that students are forced to go to places such as Ukraine, pointing out the vacant seats in PG medical courses. A Division Bench of Acting Chief Justice Vipin Sanghi and Justice Navin Chawla was hearing a group of students' plea to relax cut-off percentile. Asking the Centre to submit all the details related to the fixing percentile of cut-off in NEET PG medical courses for this year, the matter was posted for hearing on March 23.
Upper age limit removed for all candidates in NEET UG

"It has been decided in the 4th meeting of the NMC held on October 21, 2021 that there should not be any fixed upper age limit for appearing in the NEET UG examination. Therefore, the information bulletin may be modified accordingly," top medical education regulatory body, the National Medical Commission in a communication to the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Wednesday.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has uploaded free video lectures for students preparing for JEE Main 2022 and NEET 2022 on its offcial website (nta.nic.in). These video lectures, presented by domain experts, are completely free of cost and  are designed to help engineering and medical aspirants . Students taking JEE Main 2022 and/or NEET 2022 can check and download the video lectures and free-of-cost study material from the NTA site.
NMC allows foreign medical students to complete internship in India with conditions

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has allowed foreign medical students with incomplete internship due to the ongoing situations, including the Covid-19 pandemic and the Ukraine crisis, to apply and finish their apprenticeship requirement in India but with conditions.
NEET UG Counselling 2021: Round 2 Registration to Start on February 16 | Here're details

As the NEET UG Counselling results are to be declared on February 26, 2022, the window for registration and fee payment for the second round will be open and available till February 21, 2022. Registering candidates can fill and lock their choices between February 17 and February 21, according to the MCC NEET Counselling schedule.
Students claim NEET exam not applicable for AYUSH courses, HC issues notice

Seeking the stand of the Centre and National Testing Agency in this regard, a division bench headed by Chief Justice D.N. Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh issued notice on the plea filed by six AYUSH aspirants. Further, the court said it will hear the matter on March 30 along with another plea filed by a group of Allopathic doctors who have moved the Court against allowing AYUSH practitioners to perform some surgeries. It also asked Centre's counsel Monika Arora to furnish details of allopathic doctors' plea.
1st JEE Mains 2022 examinations likely to start from March instead of February, NEET on schedule

The Centre had decided that the JEE examinations will be conducted four times from this year onwards. The examinations were previously scheduled to be held in  February, March, April, and May. However, as the 2022 assembly elections are due in five states including Uttar Pradesh, Manipur, Uttarakhand, Goa, and Punjab, the JEE examinations are likely to start from March instead of February.
