NEET-UG 2022: Application process begins from today, exam to be held on July 17 | Here's how to apply

The duration of the entrance examination will be 3 hours and 20 minutes(200 minutes). The paper will comprise 200 multiple choice questions from physics, chemistry, and biology. There will be four options provided for each question. For every correct answer, there will be a +4 marking in the question and a negative marking of -1 for every incorrect answer. The paper will be held in offline mode. The candidates will be given the option to choose among 13 languages to attempt the paper.

NTA(National Testing Agency) on Wednesday, April 6 announced the date for NEET UG 2022 entrance examination. The exam will be held on July 17 from 2 pm to 5:20 pm. The registration process has begun on April 6 and will end on May 6. The application fee for the general category is Rs.1600. For students belonging to EWS/OBC category, the application fee is Rs.1500. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD will have to pay Rs.900 for their registration form.

The age limit for appearing in the entrance exam has been removed this year. Earlier the age limit for the General category was till 25 years and for the reserved categories, it was 30 years old.

Step 1: Visit the official website of NEET -  neet.nta.ac.in.

Step 2: Click on ‘Proceed to apply online for NEET (UG) 2022’

Step 3: Enter your personal details

Step 4: Add your contact no. After adding up your no. you will receive an OTP

Step 5: Enter the OTP received on your registered phone no. and submit the application form.

Step 6: Neet application number will be generated

Step 8: Save the form and take a printout of it for future reference
