After a user tweeted a screenshot of the last Zuckerberg’s post on Threads and wrote, “It has now been 6 days since the CEO of that other app has made a post. Did he give up on it already?”

Vaishnavi Jayakumar, 36, who joined Meta in January 2020 after stints at Disney, Google and Twitter, said she was punished for asking how to move up the ranks at Meta, left out of opportunities, and layered under less experienced colleagues.

This feature will be helpful when users don't want to show their real faces during video calls and want a third option between camera-off and camera-on, the company said in a blogpost on Tuesday. The company also mentioned that users can share animated avatar stickers in Instagram and Facebook Stories and Reels, Facebook comments, and 1:1 message threads on Messenger and Instagram.

With the edit option, users will be able to edit their posts on Threads, while the following feed will display posts of accounts that users follow. Instagram head Adam Mosseri also confirmed that a translation option for different languages is also in the works. Currently, the application only allows account searches, but soon it will enable users to search for posts.

Meta launched Threads last week for iOS and Android users in 100 countries, and it is currently the top free app on the App Store. There are currently over 97 million accounts on the Threads app, based on the number badges that appear on Instagram profiles and indicate when someone joined the new app, reports Search Engine Journal.
