Launched in 2013, Meta Connectivity (formerly Facebook Connectivity) aimed to increase online usage so users could access the company's social networks. WhatsApp rolls out feature to enable users find groups by contact name
The feature appeared to some users after installing the latest WhatsApp Desktop update, reports WABetaInfo. With the new feature, users can get a list of all their recent groups in common with a contact by entering their name within the search bar.

Instagram head Adam Mosseri said the company is expanding Account Status "so professional accounts can understand if their content may be eligible to be recommended to non-followers". In the settings menu, under account and then account status, "professional accounts can now check to see if any of their posts are banned from being recommended to users who don't follow them," Mosseri posted on Twitter.
Meta bars employees from discussing abortion, vaccine efficacy at work
According to a report in Fortune, citing a leaked internal memo, Meta has banned employees from discussing "very disruptive" topics, including abortion, gun rights, and vaccines as part of new "community engagement expectations". "As Mark mentioned recently, we need to make a number of cultural shifts to help us deliver against our priorities," read the company memo.
Some sacked Meta workers didn't get severance as promised by CEO
In one of the worst lay-offs ever in the tech industry, Zuckerberg sacked more than 11,000 employees -- about 13 per cent of the global workforce -- and extended hiring freeze through Q1 2023. According to a CNBC report, employees who joined Meta via a corporate training programme claim "they are receiving inferior severance packages compared to other workers who were recently laid off".
