Yadav's statement comes in the wake of his recent comment, three days prior, stating that the construction of the new Ram temple in Ayodhya marked a step forward towards the concept of 'Akhand Bharat.'

Chouhan, who always projected himself as a 'kisan ka beta' (son of a farmer) drove a tractor in his field in Vidisha on Thursday.

Tej Pratap remarked that the ascension of a Yadav to the "top position" in the state is a positive development, contributing to an elevated status for the Yadav community. Speaking at the inauguration of the Environment and Forest Department's stalls at Sonepur Mela in Saran district, he stated, "The respect of Yadav increased through Mohan Yadav who became the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. Yadavs are successors of Lord Krishna."

Comparatively, in the 2018 Assembly polls, 94 MLAs had declared criminal cases against themselves, with 47 facing serious charges. The recent report highlights a slight increase in the number of women legislators in the state Legislative Assembly in 2023, with 27 women candidates winning the elections—six more than in 2018. However, women's representation in the state Assembly remains below the promised 33 percent.

Narottam Mishra, known more for his controversial statements than his administrative work, suffered a setback by losing the election to his longstanding political rival, Congress candidate Rajendra Bharti, in Datia.

As per the Election Commission of India, at 12.50 p.m., the BJP is leading on 162 out of 230 seats in Madhya Pradesh, while the Congress is trailing far behind with leads on 65 seats.
