He has urged officials to closely monitor children's rights and to take decisive action against any violations. According to an official statement, the Chief Minister has instructed that the registration of Madrasas forcing students into religious activities outside their faith should be revoked.

In a related move, the Madhya Pradesh government has instructed officials to verify the credentials of students in Madrasas that receive government funding. This directive, issued on Friday, also stipulates that religious education cannot be provided without prior consent from the children's parents or guardians.

This order follows recommendations from the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), which had raised concerns about some Madrasas allegedly falsifying student records to secure government grants.

Madhya Pradesh has approximately 2,650 registered Madrasas, each receiving an annual grant from the government. Additionally, officials have identified over 500 unregistered Madrasas operating within the state.
