While the incidents of atrocities against the down-trodden communities have already made headlines across the state, what is more worrying that the cases are being reported from one particular area -- the Vindhya region -- causing more headache to the BJP with elections are just four months away. 

Since Chief Minister Chouhan adopted his Uttar Pradesh counterpart Yogi Adityanath's "quick justice system" in Madhya Pradesh two years ago, this is perhaps the first time that a large section of people have raised voice against the "bulldozer" action, sources say.

The party on Tuesday named Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy as Telangana chief, Sunil Jakhar (Punjab), former Union Minister D. Purandeswari (Andhra Pradesh) and Babulal Marandi as the Jharkhand BJP President.

In a tweet, Rahul Gandhi said, "Atrocities on tribal are increasing in the BJP rule. The entire humanity has been put to shame by the inhuman crime of a BJP leader in Madhya Pradesh. This is the disgusting face and real character of BJP's hatred towards tribals and Dalits."

As Assembly elections draw closer in the state, the voices of discontent seem to be growing every passing day in the parties. Many disappointed leaders in the state are switching parties. Deepak Joshi, son of former Chief Minister Kailash Joshi, Yadvendra Singh Yadav, Baijnath Singh Yadav and Rakesh Gupta have left the BJP and joined the Congress. 

During 15-day long campaign from August 15 - August 30, the BJP workers will visit each assembly constituency to collect donations for building a huge temple to 15th century mystic poet-saint Ravidas in Sagar district. 

States like Goa, Bihar and Jharkhand will get Vande Bharat train connectivity for the first time through these trains. PM Modi will also launch the National Sickle Cell Anaemia Elimination Mission in the state. Later during his day-long visit, will go to Pakaria village in Shahdol district and interact with stakeholders there.

After wrapping up his four-day state visit to the US, Prime Minister Modi will be addressing his first rally in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh. The state leadership has prepared a grand welcome for Modi with a mammoth roadshow on his arrival in Bhopal on June 27.

On Friday morning, 'objectionable' posters targeting veteran Congress leader and former Chief Minister Kamal Nath were put up at a market in Bhopal. The Congress leaders claimed the posters were put up at the behest of the BJP and demanded action in the matter.

Dhruv Pratap Singh, who was with the BJP since 1980, in a video message, alleged that the party has derailed from its real principles. Since last couple of months, he has been been vocal against Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, state unit President V. D. Sharma and other state leaders.
