Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was speaking to reporters in Kalaburagi on Sunday. The ruling Congress is in a fix over the issue as releasing water to Tamil Nadu for drinking purposes, standing crops and industrial usage, will lead to water shortage in the state for the crops.

Former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai reacting to the development stated in Mangaluru on Thursday that there is no connection between the BJP and the arrest of Kundapura, a female Hindutva activist.

Sources explain that JD(S) is demanding five parliamentary seats out of 28 and BJP is negotiating for four seats. The JD(S) insisted for Hassan, Mandya, Kolar, Tumakuru and Bengaluru Rural seats. Hassan was represented by Deve Gowda’s grandson Prajwal Revanna.

A bench, headed by Justice K. Natarajan, declared that the election of Revanna null and void.

While replying to a query over differences between him and the Chief Minister, Shivakumar told reporters: “Let them keep making comments. You will keep seeing us together.”

The statue was removed on the night of August 16 and the administration maintained that the installation of the statue was illegal, after which the situation turned volatile.

Former minister and BJP MLA S.T. Somashekar and Bhyrati Basavaraj remained absent during the meeting. Both hail from Bengaluru and are said to be capable of winning the seats on their own. Somashekar had addressed Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar as his "guru" (mentor) and showered praises on him.

“I am again requesting for the construction of the Mekedatu project which is in the interest of both -- Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The Tamil Nadu government is not agreeing to take up the project. The project is in the interest of both the states,” Shivakumar said.

Tontada Siddaramara Swamiji made the announcement on Monday while speaking to reporters in Gadag. He said that necessary documents would be provided after studying the reason on which the report seeking separate religion status for Lingayats was rejected by the Centre. 

The woman cop, Latha, had put up a post against Kadur Congress MLA, K.S. Anand. She had stated in the status that if anything happens to her, MLA Anand would be responsible. She also maintained that she condemns the MLA.
