Karnataka's Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced on Tuesday that the caste census findings would soon be presented to the state cabinet. The Socio-Economic and Education Survey report, received by the government in February this year, had been delayed due to the Lok Sabha election.
"I haven't reviewed the report yet. It needs to be presented to the cabinet, and we will do so," the chief minister informed reporters.
Even prior to its submission, leaders from certain communities had criticized the report, alleging inaccuracies due to the absence of a door-to-door survey.
