During a press interaction at the launch of the Mysuru Chalo padyatra organized by the BJP and JD(S), Yediyurappa emphasized, “This is Siddaramaiah’s last chance to act with integrity. If he resigns, he can maintain his dignity and the party's reputation. Otherwise, Governor Ghelot will need to intervene.”

Yediyurappa encouraged Siddaramaiah to resign voluntarily, stating, “It would be preferable for him to step down on his own. I strongly advise him to resign from his position.”

Regarding the Bengaluru to Mysuru foot march, Yediyurappa noted that around 8,000 to 10,000 party members from each Assembly constituency are expected to participate in the padyatra.

Yediyurappa’s remarks are significant given that the Governor has already issued a show cause notice to Siddaramaiah, questioning why consent for prosecution should not be granted in light of prima facie evidence and a formal complaint filed with the Karnataka Lokayukta. The deadline for Siddaramaiah to respond to the notice has expired.
