Talking to reporters in Bengaluru about the charges made by Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha that adjustment politics is practiced in the state by CM Siddaramaiah and top BJP leaders, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that, "Pratap Simha has no political maturity."

"Let them release the caste census, the people will teach them a lesson. We will not sit quiet if the reservation quota announced by the previous BJP government is changed. It is not the BJP party, the people of the state will protest against them," he said. Ashoka further said that there was confusion regarding guarantee schemes.

BJP which had faced the Assembly elections with utmost confidence by allotting tickets to 72 new faces, while denying them to senior top party leaders was still decimated by the grand-old party.
