In a late night tweet,Former Governor of erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir Jagmohan Malhotra's family members said, "With profound grief, we inform about the sad demise of Jagmohan. Former Union Minister, Former Governor Jammu and Kashmir. In grief : Wife: Uma Jagmohan, children: Dipika and Rajiv Kapoor, Nutan and Justice Manmohan."
Covid vaccination for 18-45 age group won't begin in J&K on May 1

Deferring the scheduled COVID vaccination drive for people aged 18-45 which was to begin on Saturday, J&K government said the drive will now begin only after the supply is established.

The PDP had formed the government in J&K in alliance with the BJP on March 1, 2015, with Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as the Chief Minister. After he passed away on January 7, 2016, his daughter Mehbooba Mufti was sworn-in as the Chief Minister on April 4, 2016. However, the BJP pulled out of the alliance on June 19, 2018.

Mehbooba questioned by ED in money laundering probe

According to ED officials, Mufti arrived at the ED office here around 11 a.m. and her statement will be recorded under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Earlier, the PDP leader had skipped ED summons on March 15 and 23 in the national capital.

An NIA official related to the probe told IANS, "The name of the former Chief Minister has emerged in the case related to arrested DSP Davinder Singh and HM terrorist Naveed Babu."

The encounter is underway in Manihal area. "One more unidentified terrorist killed in Shopian encounter, total three terrorists killed, the operation is going on," police said. On Sunday night, gunfire erupted between terrorists and security forces after the area was cordoned off and a search operation was launched to nab the militants.

Shot at by terrorists, son of Srinagar's Krishna Dhaba dies
