Super Cup: Jamshedpur FC register 5-3 win over FC Goa

Trailing by an early goal, Jamshedpur returned with a vengeance to hold a vice-like grip over the proceedings thereafter and always held the upper hand despite spirited efforts by the Goa side. The Group C contests witnessed a total of 14 goals on Monday as ATK Mohun Bagan routed Gokulam FC 5-1 in the day's first match at the same venue.

With the points shared, the two sides have one point each in Group B, below Hyderabad FC, who defeated Aizawl FC earlier on the day to log full points. Star forward Diego Mauricio was on the front foot for Odisha right from the beginning of the game. The Brazilian initiated several threatening moves to put Odisha in the lead. Costa signed for the Blues ahead of the Hero ISL 2021-22 season, joining Bengaluru FC on a two-year loan deal from Campeonato Brasileiro S rie B side, Ava  Futebol Clube. Costa has featured in 36 games for the Blues in the Hero ISL across season and made a difference at both ends of the pitch, contributing four goals and two assists.

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu saved penalties at the start of the game and at the end of the shootout as Bengaluru FC won the tie-breaker after the fixture was tied on aggregate 2-2, following Mumbai City FC's 2-1 result after extra time. After 16 penalties were scored, Sandhu saved Mehtab Singh's penalty before Sandesh Jhingan scored the winning spot-kick to give the Blues a 9-8 win on penalties.
