Reports indicate that Israeli military forces resumed airstrikes on the Gaza Strip after Hamas ended the weeklong ceasefire. Israel claims that the resumption of hostilities was prompted by Hamas firing rockets towards Israel, citing a violation of the ceasefire.

The anticipated deal for the release of hostages in Gaza, contingent on a temporary truce, has encountered a delay as Israel's National Security Advisor confirmed its postponement until at least Friday.

In a display of solidarity, Abbas recently engaged with the families of the hostages, receiving a heartfelt letter from them. Notably, this missive carried the weight of signatures from Nobel Prize laureates and legal experts, all united in their plea for the immediate release of those held captive in Gaza.

The relief effort to send supplies to Gaza through the Rafah border crossing from Egypt faced setbacks, as it ran out of fuel and experienced a communication shutdown.

In a Hebrew statement posted on X, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) clarified that it had merely "responded to the request of the director of Shifa Hospital to allow Gazan citizens, who were taking shelter in the hospital and wished to evacuate, to do so via a secure axis leading to the humanitarian crossing in the Gaza Strip."

Eleven prominent right-wing organizations have united to advocate for resettlement initiatives in Gaza and Northern Samaria.

In a statement released on Thursday, the IDF acknowledged the presence of patients at the hospital while affirming that their searches were conducted with discretion, patience, and thoroughness.
