The format of Putin's participation will depend on the global situation, taking into account the sanitary and epidemiological situation in Southeast Asia, the ministry said in a statement, Xinhua news agency reported. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will lead the Russian delegation to the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting on Thursday and Friday in Indonesia's Bali, the statement added.

Earlier, in November 2020, G-20 leaders had announced in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, that India would host the summit of the high-profile grouping in 2023 with the delay of one year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. As per the previous schedule of the Osaka Declaration, Saudi Arabia was to host the G-20 summit in 2020, followed by Italy in 2021 and India in 2022.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin commented on Wednesday on potential plans of the US and Western allies to kick Russia out of the G20 in the wake of its military offensive in Ukraine."G20 is the main forum for international economic cooperation, bringing together the world"s major economies. Russia is an important member, and no member has the right to expel other countries," he said, RT reported.

The financial leaders addressed the issues on Thursday, either in person or virtually, during a two-day G20 FMCBG meeting held in Jakarta, with Indonesia serving as the host country, reports Xinhua news agency. Indonesia's FM Sri Mulyani Indrawati told the G20 participants in a panel discussion that the Covid-19 pandemic has revealed that the global health system is not ready enough to face the pandemic.

Indonesia's Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati conveyed the message when opening the first G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) meeting that is being held in Jakarta on Thursday and Friday, reports Xinhua news agency. "Our commitments are needed to hold up energy transition. Therefore, cooperation and collaborations among the countries to address this issue are important," she said.

The leaders of the world's major economies have pledged to use all available tools to address the consequences of the pandemic.
