Jaishankar meets Chinese counterpart Qin Gang on G20 sidelines, says discussions focussed on peace along border areas
"Met Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang on sidelines of #G20FMM this afternoon. Our discussions were focused on addressing current challenges to the bilateral relationship, especially peace and tranquillity in the border areas. We also spoke about the G20 agenda," S Jaishankar tweeted.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar acknowledged that there were issues related to the Ukraine conflict that could not be reconciled. "There were issues and very frankly they were concerned with the Ukraine conflict. There were divergences. There were differences, which we could not be reconciled," Jaishankar told media persons.

In his address to the G20 foreign ministers meeting, Modi said, "Post World War global governance failed in both its mandates of preventing future wars and fostering international cooperation on issues of common interests." He noted that many developing countries are struggling with unsustainable debt while trying to ensure food and energy security for their people.
India stresses on multilateral action for extradition of economic offenders
Chairing the meeting with Co-Chair Italy, Union Minister of State, Personnel, Public Grievances, Jitendra Singh said: "Economic offences have been a problem faced by many, especially when the offenders flee from the jurisdiction of the country. India has put in place specialised legislation in this regard, in the form of Fugitive Economic Offenders Act, 2018, the term wherein 'fugitive economic offender' (FEO) is defined as an individual against whom a warrant of arrest in relation to a Scheduled Offence has been issued by any court in India".

Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang will visit India to attend G20 meet
China's Foreign Minister Qin Gang is expected to meet his Indian counterpart S. Jaishankar on the sidelines of the G20 meeting, where according to reports, they are likely to discuss the border issues and review the outcome of talks at diplomatic and military levels, to resolve the matter.
