Responding to a question asked in Parliament Choudhary said, "The farm laws just mention that the contract will be on the farm produce. So, there is no question of a land contract anywhere."

Reacting over the Union government's decision to 'disconnect water and electricity supply' to the farmers agitating against the three farm laws and leading the agitation in Tamil Nadu, the committee president P.R. Pandian told reporters, "If the Prime Minister does not permits the farmers to enter Delhi, the farmers of Tamil Nadu shall not allow him to visit the state."

Chakka jam: Security stepped up at Ghazipur protest site

This is despite assurance by farmer unions that the road block would not affect the traffic within the Delhi borders as well as in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The scene at the farmers protest site at Ghazipur did not seem any different from other days of protest since November 26.

The DMRC in a series of tweets from its official handle said, "Security Update: Entry and exit gates of Mandi House, ITO and Delhi Gate are closed, The entry and exit gates of Vishwavidyalaya station are closed," it said in another tweet.
