India reports 1,260 new Covid cases, 83 deaths in 24 hrs
Amid a continuous downward trend, India's active caseload has further declined to 13,445, constituting 0.03 per cent of the country's total positive cases. A total of 1,404 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative tally to 4,24,92,326. The country's recovery rate stands at 98.76 per cent.
Bharat Biotech announces slowing down of Covaxin production
Hyderabad-based vaccine manufacturer Bharat Biotech on Friday announced the temporary slowing down of its Covid vaccine Covaxin's production across its manufacturing facilities. "Bharat Biotech today announces the temporary slowing down of production of Covaxin across its manufacturing facilities, having completed its supply obligations to procurement agencies and foreseeing the decrease in demand," it said in a statement.
India logs 1,335 new Covid cases, 52 deaths
India reported 1,335 fresh Covid cases, a marginal rise from the previous day's count of 1,225 in the last 24 hours, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Friday. A total of 52 deaths were also registered in the span of 24 hours, taking the total number of deaths to 5,21,181. Following a continuous downward trend, India's active caseload has further declined to 13,672, constituting 0.03 per cent of the country's total positive cases.
India's active Covid caseload falls below 15,000 after 707 days
In a significant development, India's active Covid-19 caseload has declined to 14,704 after 707 days, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Wednesday. The active cases now constitute 0.03 per cent of the country's total positive cases. The least active caseload was 14,759 on April 21, 2020. A total of 1,233 fresh Covid cases and 31 deaths were reported in the country in a span of 24 hours, said the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday.

India reported 1,660 fresh Covid-19 infections in the past 24 hours, a marginal decline from 1,685 cases reported on the previous day, the Union Health Ministry said on Saturday. Meanwhile, following a continuous downward trend, the country's active caseload has further declined to 16,741 this morning, constituting 0.04 per cent of the country's total positive cases. In the same period, 4,100 fatalities were also registered, pushing the total number number of deaths to 5,20,855.
