Month after jab, RSS chief Bhagwat tests Covid positive

According to an RSS functionary, he was suffering from some minor cough and cold issues and underwent an RT-PCR test. After the report came Covid-19 positive, he was admitted to the Kingsway Hospital on Friday. Incidentally, the 70-year-old Bhagwat - who had taken his first dose of Covid-19 vaccine on March 7 - is responding well to the treatment and his condition is described as stable.
20 doctors test Covid positive at AIIMS

"Of the total 26 healthcare staff, 20 are doctors and six MBBS students of AIIMS, who were found to be Covid-19 positive in the last 10 days." Of these 26, only two had taken both the doses of Covid vaccine, sources said. This comes a day after it was reported that 37 doctors tested positive for coronavirus infection at Delhi's Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.

Mediapersons exempt from carrying e-pass during night curfew: DDMA

"In partial modification of order dated 6/4/2021 with regard to imposition of night curfew in the NCT of Delhi, the DDMA directs that the category of 'Print and Electronic Media' shall be exempt from the restriction of movement during night curfew on production of valid 'I Card' instead of possession of e-pass. Rest of the contents of the aforesaid order would remain unchanged," DDMA order reads.
India reports 1,31,968 new Covid cases, 780 deaths

India is now the fourth-worst Covid-hit country worldwide after the number of active cases rose to 9,79,608. The death toll stood at 1,67,642, the Health Ministry said. A total of 61,899 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the number of recoveries to 1,19,13,292 with a recovery rate of 91.22 per cent.
