BharatPe paid Rs 1.69 crore salary to Ashneer in FY22, Rs 63 lakh to his wife

Currently, the company is involved in a legal battle with Ashneer, after suing him and his family for allegedly siphoning off company funds worth Rs 88.6 crore. According to its financial statement filed with the Registrar of Company (RoC), its former CEO Suhail Sameer took home Rs 2.1 crore in FY22. Rajnish Kumar, BharatPe Chairman, received Rs 21.4 lakhs, while BharatPe board member Shashvat Nakrani was paid Rs 29.8 lakhs.
BharatPe losses swell in FY22 after change in fair value of CCPS

In FY21, the company had posted a net loss of Rs 1,619.2 crore. Apart from the CCPS cost, the company's adjusted loss grew 2.2 times to Rs 828.2 crore in FY22, from Rs 227.3 crore in the earlier fiscal year, according to its financial statement with the Registrar of Company (RoC).

The company said that the in-principle approval has been awarded to Resilient Payments Private Ltd, a 100 per cent owned subsidiary of Resilient Innovations Private Ltd (BharatPe). "At BharatPe, we have been committed to empowering offline merchants and kirana store owners in the country and have already built a network of 1 crore merchants across more than 400 cities," said Nalin Negi, CFO and interim CEO, BharatPe.

Sameer, who will transition from the role of CEO to Strategic Advisor at BharatPe, effective from January 7, will "set up the fund I have been meaning to for the last couple of years". In a LinkedIn post, Sameer said that this will be a year of radical personal changes.

Koladiya this year moved on from the fintech company to pursue other assignments. "I was the only person who believed him and led him to attain redemption after his unsuccessful start in the US. I had allowed him to do a secondary of Rs 4 crore within months of starting BharatPe, when the company had raised only Rs 1.9 crore," Grover wrote in his book.
