"It's been nine years but it definitely seems like it happened yesterday. I can still feel the rush I felt on release day nine years back. I was confident of the script but very jittery about the response I would get from the audience as a lead actor," Ayushmann said.

The actor has explored various Indian cultures with his films "Meri Pyaari Bindu", "Bala", "Dum Laga Ke Haisha", which have been set in small towns. He shot extensively in the Northeast for his upcoming film "Anek".He adds this love for tradition and customs was inculcated in him as a child.

"There are days when awareness of things around me sharpen. And then I just go back being myself," Ayushmann wrote as caption.The actor recently started the reading of "Doctor G", which also stars Rakul Preet Singh. The film is a campus comedy and will be directed by Anubhuti Kashyap.

"I have always looked forward to discovering the unexplored. So, my trip to the northeast truly touched my heart. I experienced so much beauty, so much love from people, so much character and diversity of our country, that it will always remain one of my most special trips that helped me discover more about my beautiful country," Ayushmann said.

"It is truly humbling to know that the people of India find me relatable. It's a huge compliment because I do consider myself to be one of the masses, and my career journey is the same as every Indian who is trying to make a name, build a legacy through pure dedication and hard work," Ayushmann said.

Lined up for release is also Abhishek Kapoor's romantic drama Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui that features Vaani Kapoor with him.
