More than our film, however, the emerging medium of OTT has effectively addressed the elephant in the room, providing a secure platform to LGBTQ community stories. For decades, the community has been represented in a farcical way in commercial cinema. With time, content creators have now learnt to give same-sex stories mainstream importance.

Ayushmann, whose film "Article 15" completed two years of release on Monday, said: "Article 15 is a special film in my filmography and I can't thank (director) Anubhav Sinha sir for giving me one of the most cherished films of my career. "It was an eye-opening film for me and helped me see things from a different lens. We will need films like Article 15 with its superlative content to pull people back to theatres."

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana on Wednesday donned the poet's hat on Instagram, and went down memory lane revalling his college days. Ayushmann posted a picture of his younger self from his student days. Speaking about his upcoming slate of work, Ayushmann has his bag full. He currently has three films lined up.

"Whatever my equity is today, is mainly due to the success of my social entertainers, which made me connect to the people of India. These films have told people who I am, how I think and what my intent is as an entertainer," he says. Ayushmann says he has been fortunate to get the right films that have become hits. Success always translates to equity, he adds.

"I will never ever forget the beauty of nature in its full glory that I witnessed at the Kaziranga National Park and Shillong when I was shooting for 'Anek'. As a lover of nature, I was bewildered to see the beauty that exists in our country. It was breathtakingly beautiful," Ayushmann said.

"Do we see the light at the end of the tunnel? Whenever I'll get to do this again, I will probably cry," wrote Ayushmann. A video of the actor singing had been uploaded by a fan. It was captioned: "Imagine standing there, waving and singing 'Paani da rang' with him!"

In the image, Tahira is casually dressed in a striped T-shirt and black shorts, with a few books and her phone lying around. Tahira and Peanut are both blissfully dozing, unaware of being clicked. The memes feature dialogues of Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna, Ayushmann Khurrana and Kajol, and are humorous as well as informative. A meme featuring late actor Rajesh Khanna's photograph urges people to order food at home instead of stepping out. It reads: 'Rajesh' order 'Khanna' at home.

"We have been in the eye of the storm since last year. This pandemic has broken our hearts, made us endure pain and suffering like never before, showed us how solidarity with one another can make us handle this humanitarian crisis," Ayushmann wrote.
