Android 14 may change phone's share menu

The company has long been working on enhancing the share sheet, but since it can only be updated with a new Android version, progress is slow, reports Android Police. Esper's Mishaal Rahman spotted that the tech giant developed an experimental, hidden copy of the share sheet that resides within Android 13.

According to SamMobile, it will allow devices to update their root certificates, or digital certificate that belongs to the issuing authority, on the fly, as root certificates on Android devices can currently only be updated via system updates. With the new feature, users will be able to update root certificates on their devices through Google Play Services.
YouTube tests Queue system feature for iOS, Android apps

According to The Verge, the feature has been available on the web for several years and appears in YouTube apps under certain conditions. Upon turning on the feature, users will find a new "Play last in queue" button in the three vertical dots menu on video thumbnails. By tapping it, users will add the video to the bottom of their queue, or create a new queue if they are not watching one.
Android 13 brings Pixel's Personal Safety app to more phones

Currently, on the Google Pixel phones, the Personal Safety application includes several features designed to make sure that users are ready for any type of disaster strike, reports 9To5Google. Google tests 'Digital Driver's License' in its Android Wallet app

According to Google's updated support page, "users running Android 8.0 (or later) who are in the Google Play Services beta program (specifically, version 48.22) are eligible," reports The Verge. "After enabling Bluetooth and Nearby Devices, and also making sure your phone has a scent lock, you should now see a new option for "ID Card (beta)" when adding a new card to the Google Wallet app," it added.

According to SamMobile, LumaFusion was exclusive to the Galaxy Tab S8 series during the launch, and the company had promised to bring it to other Android tablets soon. The app is currently priced at $20 as it is in beta testing, but when its stable version is released, it will cost $30.
Samsung takes a jab at Apple with new 'On the Fence' ad

According to Android Authority, the 30-second commercial was shown on Samsung's US YouTube channel. In an ad called "On the Fence", it depicts a man sitting on an actual fence, with two iPhone users discouraging him from doing so. "But on the Samsung side, they have foldable phones and epic cameras," the man says.

To get started, users have to select Insert, Pictures, Mobile Device, the company said in a blogpost. To link the Android device to the system, scan the QR provided under aMobile Device' and follow the onscreen instructions. The same picture sizes, dimensions and file types are supported by the new feature, as are already supported by Word and PowerPoint for the Web.
