Many women candidates will be competing in the elections from both the parties. The number of women candidates contesting from the AAP is 150 out of its total of 250 candidates. The BJP has not been seen lagging in this regard and has fielded 136 women candidates. The reduction in the number of wards due to delimitation will directly affect the chances of many candidates. As per an Enforcement Directorate (ED) report, Jain has access to all privileges like home-cooked food and massages in his cell. In a recently submitted report before a Delhi court, the probe agency has stated that Jain is being given "special treatment" in his Tihar Jail cell in the form of head and foot massages, fruits, food and papers. He is allowed to meet people, including other accused, beyond permissible hours. As per the CCTV footage, in violation of the rules, jail superintendent met Jain every day to enquire about his well-being, it claimed. Jain's wife, Poonam Jain, also visits him often in the cell.

Special Judge Vikas Dhull of the Rouse Avenue Court pronounced the order which was deferred earlier. The same judge was scheduled to pronounce the order on Wednesday. However, the court deferred the matter, citing the order was not ready. A detailed order will be made available later in the day. Jain, whose bail has been denied in various hearings since his arrest in the PMLA case on May 30, is presently lodged in Tihar Jail.
