Manish Sisodia alleges BJP trying to poach AAP councillors

Claiming that the BJP has started its 'game' of making calls to newly-elected AAP councillors, Sisodia tweeted, "BJP's game has started. Our newly-elected councillors are getting phone calls. But none of our councillors will be sold. We have told all the councillors that if they get a phone call or someone comes to meet them, record the entire conversation."

The results of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections for which polling was held on December 4 gave a clear majority to the AAP which bagged 134 of the 250 wards, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) finishing second with 104 wards. Speaking to IANS, Harish Khurana said, "Delhi's next mayor will be from the BJP. We are still confident of winning the MCD for the fourth straight time. Since the Mayor is chosen by councillors, let them decide but ultimately the mayor will be from our party".

"We don't believe in negative politics and don't do the politics of abusing one another. There is a gap of 21 seats between the two parties. According to the official trend at 12.30 p.m, the AAP is maintaining a lead in 31 seats and BJP is ahead in 19. Congress, which has won in five seats, is also leading in as many wards. One independent candidate has won. A total of 126 seats are needed to win the elections. Counting for the 250 wards of the civic agency began at 8 a.m. on Wednesday amid tight security arrangements at 42 centres. There are a total of 1,349 candidates in the fray.
