AAP MLA Raaj Kumar Anand takes oath as Delhi Minister

Saxenasaid in a tweet after the oath ceremony. Anand, an MLA from the Patel Nagar constituency, has replaced former Social Welfare Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam.

SC imposes Rs 20K fine on plea to declare Satyendar Jain of 'unsound mind'

A bench of Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and A.S. Oka said the plea filed by a Delhi resident is frivolous and dismissed the petition with a fine of Rs 20,000. "It is such a misconceived and frivolous petition that it deserves to be dismissed with a cost of Rs 20,000," it said. Satyendar Jain has been in judicial custody in a money laundering case since May 30.

Satyendar Jain had moved the high court against the order passed by Principal District and Sessions Court allowing the ED's plea for transfer of Jain's case from special judge Geejanjali Goel to special judge Vikas Dhull. In May, the ED arrested Jain under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Gautam was facing severe criticism from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for his presence at the event, where hundreds of people abandoned Hinduism to adopt Buddhism, and the opposition party demanded his resignation, accusing that the ruling Aam Aadmi Party of hurting sentiments. A Delhi BJP delegation also filed a complaint against the minister.
