Probe agencies lying to courts, torturing those arrested: Kejriwal on CBI summons
He claimed that central probe agencies like the CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED) were going to extreme heights to target their strongest political rivals.
Referring to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia's arrest and months of investigation, Kejriwal has said that these agencies have falsely claimed that 14 phones were destroyed, lying to the courts in affidavits, torturing suspects to extract falsified confessions and employing thuggish threats.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was on Monday accorded the status of a national party by the Election Commission, even as Sharad Pawar's NCP and Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress lost their national party status along with Communist Party of India (CPI).The Commission said that the AAP has been nominated as a national party according to its electoral performance in four states namely Delhi, Goa, Punjab and Gujarat.

Delhi High Court denies bail to Satyendar Jain, aides in PMLA case
On March 22, the court had reserved its order on their bail pleas. Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma said that Jain is an influential person and cannot be said to have satisfied the twin conditions for bail under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). "The simple fact is the CBI has filed a case of disproportionate assets (DA). The present court cannot go into the validity of these proceedings.

On March 22, the court had reserved its order on Jain and his two aides' bail pleas in the matter. Jain has been in custody since May 30 last year and his co-accused are Vaibhav Jain and Ankush Jain. Appearing for Sisodia, Advocate Vivek Jain submitted that no offence of Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) is made out against him (Sisodia). After hearing the arguments at length by Sisodia's counsel, Special CBI Judge M.K. Nagpal of the Rouse Avenue Court, listed his bail for April 12.

The posters in Hindi read: "Degree to bahana hai, Kejriwal ko bhrashtachar se nazar hatana hai (degree is just an excuse, Kejriwal is trying to divert attention from corruption)." Addressing an AAP rally in Guwahati on April 2, Kejriwal said "had Prime Minister Modi been educated, he would not have called for demonetisation, and also wouldn't have brought the farm laws that were eventually repealed".
Excise policy scam: Sisodia's judicial custody extended till April 17
CBI Judge M.K. Nagpal of the Rouse Avenue Courts ordered the AAP leader to be produced before the court on April 17.The central probe agency had sought the extension of Sisodia's custody as the investigation is at a crucial stage. On March 31, the court had dismissed former Deputy Chief Minister's bail plea. While denying him bail, Judge Nagpal had said that Sisodia can, prima facie, be held to be the "architect of the criminal conspiracy".
