Jumping headfirst onto the AI bandwagon, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) announced a brand new suite of AI features on Monday, promising tailor-made experiences for its extensive customer base with the upcoming iOS 18 and other software updates later this year. The debut of ChatGPT across iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia is a significant milestone, with support across the three mentioned platforms allowing users to have continued access to its functionality without leaving the application. He continues to speak of his eagerness for this new phase of innovation and how 'Apple Intelligence' will be a game-changer for their users.

For the first time, Siri takes the lead in suggesting assistance through ChatGPT, ensuring a user's consent before such queries are sent and any related text or images are sent. Most importantly, integration with Apple's systemwide Writing Tools is continued via ChatGPT, thus allowing users to better create content quickly.

If the user wants to support their written content with a diverse number of images, they can do this using Compose combined with ChatGPT image tools. Everybody is eager to see ChatGPT across iOS 18, iPadLJS 18, and macOS Sequoia, powered by GPT-4o.

There's also "Genmoji," a new feature that develops emoji-like reactions and can even be personalized by the user with details from their contact's photos. These Genmoji can then be used to reply to messages or sent as stickers or reactions.

There's also 'Image Playground' from iOS 18, where users can create cute playful pictures by choosing animation, illustration, or sketch. Here, Apple will also now feature AI-based email-writing suggestions and text summarization for increased productivity on the Mail, Notes, and Phone apps.

Within Notes and Phone, recording of audio, transcribing, and summarize is supported. Apple Intelligence also ensures that call participants are notified when the call has been recorded. After the call, a summary is created to help participants remember the main talking points.

“We’re thrilled to introduce a new chapter in Apple innovation. ‘Apple Intelligence’ will transform what users can do with our products — and what our products can do for our users,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO.

“This is AI as only Apple can deliver it, and we can’t wait for users to experience what it can do,” he told developers at the flagship 'WWDC 2024' conference here.

All these Apple AI capabilities promise delivery of the best user experiences through the integration within the Apple ecosystem. This will see Apple once again set the pace in the level of innovation in the broader tech ecosystem.

“In the Notes and Phone apps, users can now record, transcribe, and summarise audio. When a recording is initiated while on a call, participants are automatically notified, and once the call ends, Apple Intelligence generates a summary to help recall key points,” said the company.
