Mark Zuckerberg Announces India as Meta AI's Top Market

Now, Meta AI extends these language capabilities to Hindi and six other languages, including French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. It will now enable people to interact with Meta AI in languages on WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and Facebook. More languages are coming very soon.

According to Meta Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, India has now emerged as the largest market for the usage of its artificial intelligence. On the call with analysts during the Q2 earnings call, Zuckerberg revealed that WhatsApp is showing quite promising trends in user retention and engagement, which falls in line with India's lead in Meta AI usage.

Following the Q2 revenue of $39.1 billion, a year-over-year jump of 22 percent, he then mentioned that Meta AI is now available in over 20 countries and eight languages, adding that features such as the new Imagine Edit, which allows users to edit images created by Meta AI, are only available to users in the US.

That means, apart from generative AI updates, Zuckerberg reflected on how growth in and increased engagement inside the Threads community would be powered through new features and better content recommendation systems. He assured that by the end of this year, Meta AI will be the most used AI assistant, and a new platform, AI Studio, that will permit users to construct their own personal AIs for use in interacting with the digital world inside of Meta's apps.
