Apple Reduces iPhone Prices by Up to Rs 6,000 Following Government's Proposed Import Duty Reduction

According to Apple's revised price list, there was quite a considerable drop for the iPhone Pro models. For instance, the prices of the imported iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max were reduced by Rs 5,100 to Rs 6,000. Its previous cost for the iPhone 15 Pro used to begin at Rs 1,34,900, while that of the iPhone 15 Pro Max was starting at Rs 1,59,900.

Apple has announced a cut of Rs 300 to Rs 6,000 on its iPhone prices in India, weeks after the government decided to lower the import duty on mobile phones.

According to Apple's revised price list, there was quite a considerable drop for the iPhone Pro models. For instance, the prices of the imported iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max were reduced by Rs 5,100 to Rs 6,000. Its previous cost for the iPhone 15 Pro used to begin at Rs 1,34,900, while that of the iPhone 15 Pro Max was starting at Rs 1,59,900.

Now, the price of the iPhone 15 Pro with 128 GB of storage has been slashed by 3.7 per cent at Rs 1,29,800. While its top version, the entry-level iPhone 15 Pro Max with 256 GB storage saw its price cut by close to 10 per cent to Rs 1,54,000 against Rs 1,59,900. Finally, all iPhones, starting from iPhone 13 to 14 and 15 series, manufactured in India, have fallen by Rs 300. Meanwhile, the iPhone SE decreased by Rs 2,300.

The base model of the iPhone SE has now fallen to Rs 47,600 from its old price of Rs 49,900.

These changes have come within a month of the government's decision to lower the import duty on mobile phones and chargers from 20 percent to 15 percent.
