Artificial intelligence assistant Copilot has driven revenue growth at GitHub to surge over 40 percent for the platform this year. According to Satya Nadella, Chairman and CEO of Microsoft, GitHub's annual revenue run rate is now $2 billion. He revealed this in the recent quarterly earnings call where Microsoft announced revenues of $245 billion, up 15 percent year-over-year, and said that GitHub is now a bigger business compared to when Microsoft acquired it.

The Power Platform now has 48 million monthly active users, up 40% over the same period last year. Copilot usage accelerated, with daily users almost doubling quarter over quarter, as it helps users speed up tasks, run much more productive meetings, and automate business processes. The number of Copilot customers increased by more than 60% over the past quarter.

Nadella also mentioned that Teams Premium now has more than 3 million seats, which is an increase of almost 400% year-over-year. Looking ahead, Nadella was sanguine about upcoming Copilot Plus PCs with Microsoft's silicon and OEM partners, along with a record 50% year-over-year increase in active Windows 11 devices.

In regard to gaming, Microsoft now has more than 500 million monthly active users across its platforms.
