With over 40,000 personnel dedicated to election security worldwide, Meta disclosed a substantial investment exceeding $20 billion in fortifying election defenses through manpower and technological advancements.

Following this latest development, Zuckerberg's net worth now stands at an astounding $165 billion (approximately 13.70 lakh crore), overshadowing Gates' $124 billion (approximately Rs 10.30 lakh crore).

During Meta's fourth-quarter earnings call, Zuckerberg expressed skepticism about the impact of Apple's changes on Meta, noting, "I don't think that the Apple thing is going to have any difference for us. Because I think that the way they have implemented it, I would be very surprised if any developer chose to go into the alternative app stores that they have."

During the hearing, Snap CEO Evan Spiegel shared that 20 million teenagers use Snapchat in the US, with around 200,000 parents utilizing its Family Center supervision controls. Snapchat's Family Center allows parents to monitor their teens' friends and communications on the app. Approximately 400,000 teen accounts have been linked to a parent's account through Family Center.

Throughout November, Zuckerberg engaged in the daily sale of Meta shares, tallying up to 560,180 shares for the month, according to Market Watch. On November 29, he submitted orders to sell an additional 28,009 shares, based on Form 4 filings with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). At the closing stock price of $327.15, the total value of the shares offloaded amounted to $192.9 million.

“I’ve thought for a long time there should be a billion-person public conversations app that is a bit more positive,” he told the analysts. He further said that if we keep at this for a few more years, “then I think we have a good chance of achieving our vision there.”

Musk told reporters that it is important to have a referee or a regulator to ensure that “companies take actions that are safe and in the general interest of the public".
