Elon Musk has launched a scathing attack on a collaboration between Apple and OpenAI over the incorporation of ChatGPT to iPhones, fearing that this would grant OpenAI and its boss, Sam Altman, access to his phone. Elon was reportedly furious at learning that Paul Nakasone, who leads US Cyber Command and had at one time served as NSA chief, had joined OpenAI's board. With his platform X, he posted sarcastic statements showing how pleased he was about to be with OpenAI gaining access to his phone.

When he heard of the possibility that Apple might be integrating OpenAI's technology directly into the operating system level, Musk made an announcement that all iPhones would automatically be banned by all his companies. According to him, such integration would be such a grave security breach that absolutely no Apple gadgets or devices of any nature will ever be accepted within his companies. In fact, Musk even joked that it would go to the extreme of visitors turning in their Apple gadgets in exchange for Faraday cages upon entry to his companies' premises.

Musk also teased at an X phone, partnering with Samsung as part of its technology supply chain, as a potential sign that there's more invention still to come in the technological world.
