Elon Musk, the owner of X, continued his criticism of Google on Wednesday, alleging that its artificial intelligence (AI) model Gemini exhibits racist and sexist tendencies.
Responding to a follower who shared an interaction where Google Gemini suggested that "white people should absolutely acknowledge their white privilege," Musk condemned the AI model as "super racist and sexist."
Another individual chimed in, noting that Gemini appears to apply similar standards of privilege to Asians and Whites. This observation prompted one user to highlight how Gemini reflects narratives often taught in higher education.
Musk's recent accusations against Google involve claims of the tech giant running "racist, anti-civilizational programming" through its AI models. Expressing concern over the pervasive influence of Gemini across Google products and YouTube, Musk emphasized the significance of this issue.
One of Musk's followers echoed concerns about who is responsible for programming Gemini, suggesting that ideological biases could shape its responses and potentially lead to censorship of truth.
Musk previously stated that a senior Google executive contacted him following viral screenshots of Gemini's response regarding Caitlyn Jenner and avoiding a hypothetical nuclear apocalypse.
