India fast bowler Mohammad Shami lashed out at a leading media house for spreading false reports involving him and former Indian spinner Amit Mishra. Shami asserted that proper verification from both ends was required before publishing any news. As per the media report, Shami condemned Amit Mishra over the purported comments on Virat Kohli, in which Mishra made such remarks for personal gain.
According to the report, "India pacer Mohammad Shami took a dig at Amit Mishra after he made bold remarks about Virat Kohli." the report claimed.
Pacer Mohammad Shami took to social media to express his anguish over the piece of false information doing the rounds regarding Amit Mishra. He further asked the media to verify any information with credible sources before publishing it as news.
"Disappointed to see false information circulating about Amit Mishra. It's a humble request to verify news sources before publishing," he wrote in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
The Indian pacer further appealed to the concerned media house for the withdrawal of the erroneous story and a correction. He tagged both Amit Mishra and Shubhankr Mishra in his post and included the hashtag #StopFakeNews.
