India lead by 29 runs after making 364 in the first innings and bowling out England for 391 On a bright day at the Lord's, the opening pair of Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul were cautious in the first seven overs. Sharma was graceful in his straight drive and flick through mid-wicket. The foundation of India's score in the first innings came from the 126 runs partnership between the openers.

Two-time Paralympic gold medalist aims for his third in javelin throw

Mohammed Siraj was the pick of the Indian bowlers, taking four wickets for 94 runs while Ishant Sharma chipped in with 3/69, including two off successive deliveries. Mohammed Shami, who took the last wicket, finished with two for 95.

Lord's Test: Intruder tries to join Indian team, taken away by security

A British man in cricket whites and sporting an Indian Test shirt walked out onto the field to join the Indian team after lunch. The man with 'Jarvo 69' on his shirt is stopped by security personnel as he walked into the field. On being stopped, the man points to the sponsor's logo followed by the BCCI logo on his shirt. He looks away to get the ball but another security person in a blue jacket arrives to take the intruder away.
IND vs ENG 2nd Test: Root's ton takes England to 314/3 at tea

Root shared a century partnership with Jonny Bairstow (57) and a 54-run partnership with Jos Buttler (23) to lead the home side into a position from where they can eye lead. India had made 364 in their first innings. Moeen Ali was unbeaten 20 off 31 balls. Much of the day though belonged to Root, who hit 12 fours and negotiated the England bowlers well on a pitch that was flat and offered nothing to the Indian bowlers.
