3rd Test: Malan, Root drive England ahead

India were bowled out for 78 in the first innings. England, who resumed 42 runs ahead had stretched their lead to 104 by lunch even though they had lost both the openers. But if they thought there would be respite, they were proved wrong as Malan, making a comeback, scored 70 off 128 balls and skipper Root was unbeaten on 80 off 94 deliveries.
Imran nominated me as PCB chief, says Ramiz Raja

In an interview with Dawn, Raja confirmed to "have been informed by the Prime Minister's Office" that he is Imran Khan's choice to take over the PCB from Ehsan Mani. Raja said an official notification of his nomination by the Prime Minister, who's also the PCB's patron-in-chief and a former captain of the national cricket team, will be issued soon, following which he would contest the PCB.
3rd Test: Siraj subjected to boos from the crowd

The 27-year-old pace bowler, who took eight wickets in the second Test at Lord's, was brought into the attack only after 15 overs had passed in the day and on arrival to the run-up mark, a section of the crowd began booing him. The Hyderabad bowler was hit by a ball thrown by the crowd on Wednesday, the first day of the ongoing Test. It upset India skipper Virat Kohli.
3rd Test: England extend lead to 104 runs despite losing openers

At lunch, England are 182/2 in 68 overs with Dawid Malan (27 not out) and Joe Root (14 not out) at the crease. Resuming from 120/0, the first hour of the day produced 21 runs for England. Coming from around the wicket, Mohammed Shami sneaked through the gate of Rory Burns (61) to hit the top of the off-stump, breaking the opening partnership at 135.
