Hyderabad FC striker Bartholomew Ogbeche scored in the 39th and 60th minute. Edu Garcia (54th), Javier Siverio (72nd), and Joao Victor (86 P) too got on the scoresheet for Hyderabad in a mind-blowing second-half display. For Odisha, Juanan scored an own goal in the 16th minute to make it 1-1, but after that, it was one-way traffic till the final whistle.

South Africa, who were struggling at 109/5 in their first innings at tea, added 88 more runs in the third session and lost the rest of the five wickets. The 24-year old Pant broke the joint-record held by former India captain MS Dhoni and Wriddhiman Saha by affecting his 100th dismissal in his 26th Test which came at the SuperSport Park. The young wicketkeeper took 26 matches to reach the feat while Dhoni and Saha had achieved the same in 36 Tests. He achieved the milestone when he caught Temba Bavuma off Mohammed Shami's bowling.
Ashwin, Root, Jamieson, and Karunaratne nominated for ICC Men's Test Player award

Ashwin proved himself in 2021, taking 52 wickets in eight matches at an average of 16.23. He was in full flight in the home series against England, scalping 32 wickets in four matches at 14.72. Apart from his heroics with the ball, Ashwin also made invaluable contributions with the bat, scoring 337 runs at an average of 28.08 with one century, 106 runs, against England in the Chennai Test.

The 28-year old Bumrah twisted his right ankle on his follow-through during the 11th over of South Africa's first innings and immediately went down on the ground. Team India physio Nitin Patel rushed to the ground and attended the pacer for a little while before he was taken off the field for further treatment.
U-19 Asia Cup game between Bangladesh, Sri Lanka cancelled
