IPL 2022, Day 39 Highlights: Punjab Kings beat Gujarat Titans by 8 wickets

In a one-sided thriller, Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Tuesday defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) by 8 wickets. PBKS became the second team to defeat GT in this IPL season. The first time was Sunrisers Hyderabad. The fight for the top four positions continues. Here are the key highlights of the game:

1. GT won the toss and elected to bat first against PBKS

2. GT lost early wickets of Shubman Gill (9), Wriddman Sahi (21) in the powerplay, and Hardik Pandya (1) in the very next over after the powerplay.

8. After the fall of his wicket, Shikhar Dhawan and Bhanuka Rajapaksa stayed. Both of them played fine and attacked shots. They built an amazing 87-run partnership.
 

9. Rajapaksa made 40 runs off 28. After the fall of his wicket, Shikhar Dhawan stayed and made an unbeaten 62 runs off 53 and Liam Livingston played an unbeaten cameo of 30 runs off 10.

10. In the 15th over Liam Livingston hits 28 runs (6, 6, 6, 4, 2, 6), which included 117 meters huge six on the first delivery.
