Vasundhara Raje Reflects on Changing Notions of Loyalty in Politics

"Loyalty was valued more in older times, when the people responsible for someone's political elevation were looked up to by all. Things are different now. It seems people are more willing to knife their mentors who groomed them," she said at a programme organised by Sundar Singh Bhandari Charitable Trust in Udaipur.

Senior BJP leader and former Chief Minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje once again stirred controversy over a pointed remark on the loyalty and trajectory of the political career graph.

"Loyalty was valued more in older times, when the people responsible for someone's political elevation were looked up to by all. Things are different now. It seems people are more willing to knife their mentors who groomed them," she said at a programme organised by Sundar Singh Bhandari Charitable Trust in Udaipur.
