Former Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain found himself returning to Tihar Jail on Monday, following the Supreme Court's dismissal of his regular bail plea in a money laundering case.
Jain left his residence in Saraswati Vihar, located in north Delhi, around 6 p.m. to comply with the court's decision and surrender at the jail.
An official from Tihar Jail confirmed Jain's arrival at the facility in the evening.
The Supreme Court's decision came as a blow to the Aam Aadmi Party leader, as his regular bail petition was rejected. The court also declined the request from Jain’s counsel for a week's extension and instead ordered him to surrender immediately to jail authorities.
