Azam Khan, along with three others, was convicted under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including house trespass, mischief causing damage, intentional insult, and criminal intimidation. The court, however, acquitted Farhan Khan, Jibran, and Omendra due to insufficient evidence against them.

The incident traces back to 2019 when Ehtesham Khan, a resident of Dungarpur, filed a report at Ganj Kotwali, alleging that Azam Khan and others forcibly entered his house, subjected him to physical assault and verbal abuse, threatened his life, looted Rs 25,000, and unlawfully took over his property.
