The affidavit, a requisite for all election candidates, reveals that PM Modi's movable assets amount to approximately Rs 3.02 crore. Predominantly, this wealth is held in bank fixed deposits, particularly with the State Bank of India, totaling over Rs 2.85 crore.
Apart from his fixed deposits, PM Modi's movable assets include four gold rings weighing a total of 45 grams, valued at Rs 2.67 lakh, along with Rs 52,920 in cash and National Savings Certificates valued at Rs 9.12 lakh. Additionally, his income tax deduction for the past financial year stands at Rs 3.33 lakh.
The declaration under "immovable assets" states "Nil", implying the absence of land or property holdings. Interestingly, the affidavit mentions Jashodaben as PM Modi's spouse, with the assets held by her marked as "Not known," highlighting their separate living arrangements.
The document further indicates that PM Modi has no pending criminal cases nor has he been convicted of any crime. Moreover, there are no outstanding liabilities to the government. Described as a resident of Ahmedabad, PM Modi's profession is stated as public life and political activity.
PM Modi's educational background is also documented, showing his completion of SSC in 1967, a BA degree from Delhi University in 1978, and an MA from Gujarat University in 1983.
Comparing his assets over the years, PM Modi declared assets worth Rs 2.5 crore in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, which included a residential plot in Gujarat's Gandhinagar, fixed deposits of Rs 1.27 crore, and Rs 38,750 in cash. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, his total assets were disclosed as Rs 1.65 crore.
The affidavit also mentions PM Modi's online presence, highlighting his website and profiles on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and WhatsApp, underscoring his engagement with various digital platforms.
